The Exams You Need to Pass to Become a Certified Engineer

To achieve the credential of Red Hat Certified Engineer, one needs to get the Red Hat Certified Engineer credential. To become a Red Hat Certified Engineer, the candidate requires to pass two certification exams, that are –

  • Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA – EX200)
  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE – EX300)

You should take the RHCSA exam before the RHCE exam, however, you can also take RHCE exam before the RHCSA exam. Note that you will get the Red Hat Certified Engineer certification only when you have passed both the certification exams.

The Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) exam validates the basic knowledge for system administration across all Red Hat products. Whereas Red Hat Certified Engineer validates the senior level skills of the candidate as system administrator.
