Village life painting by Royal Canvas Art

All the characteristics of the Mughal style are visible in the early painting of Village life painting due to the intense association of the Bikaner state with the Mughal court. The Southern style has the greatest influence on the Bikaner style. In this style, the sky is shown to be covered with golden rings. The panoramic motifs of cranes and myths from the rainy clouds are also characteristic of this style. Here, the effect of the southern style is seen in the fountains, court scenes, etc.(1699-1743 AD) era comes of 'Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh I'. He was important in many ways from the point of view of the progress of art. Sawai Jai Singh established 'Chhatus Karkano' to properly maintain or operate his palaces, treasures, everyday items, art treasures, accessories, etc. 'Suratkhana' was also one in which painters used to make paintings. At this time, 'Rasikapriya', Kavipriya ',' Geet-Govind, '' Barhamasa, '', Navaras', and 'Ragamala' paintings were produced. All these paintings had Mughal influence. The court painters were 'Mohammed Shah' and 'Sahib Ram'.

Jai Singh's court poet 'Shivdas Rai' Dara is an illustrated manuscript 'Saras Ras Granth' (1737 AD) in Braj language, in which Krishna-related pictures are written on 39 pages. After Sawai Jai Singh, the son 'Maharaja Sawai Ishwari Singh' sat on the throne from 1743-1750 AD. The center of picture creation (Suratkhana) shifted from Amber to Jayu. Paper is manufactured by hand in Sanganer. Some specimens of jaalis and bell boots cut on paper by the bereavement of Ishwar Singh among the painters are still preserved in the Maharaja Sawai Mansingh Secondary Museum.
