Bed With Slide For Kids Bunk Beds

If your children are older now and have moved out into their own bedroom, or maybe even into a separate room, you might want to look at their interest in the many types of children's bunk beds available. Some will come fully loaded with toys and themed extras, but others will just have the standard features that come with most bunk beds. What features should you look out for in a children's bed with slide? Is it important for safety? And, would it be better to buy a separate bed with the slide, or purchase a top bunk bed with the slide built in?

Safety First: We must first look at the bed with slide. Are there any safety concerns with using the children's slide? There are two potential hazards when using childrens bunk bed with slide, namely suffocation from the bottom, or from the top bunk if the slide is not attached properly. Perhaps more suitable for younger children (to ensure therell be some mild-hearted envy from slightly older siblings! ), twin over full bunk beds with stairs comes with an easy-to-use slide mechanism that attaches directly to the top bunk.

It is safe to attach the slide to either side of the bed with screws or nails, although you may need a little extra strength with the slide ball. The bottom bunk will need two holes drilled slightly larger than the width of the slide. The slide ball needs to be placed into these holes before the ball can be inserted into the gap between the top tent piece and the sides of the bed with slide. Then attach the top tent piece to the bed with slide. This ensures that no one can sit in the gap behind the slide and become trapped.

Safety First: You may not have thought about it, but kids beds with slides could pose a fire hazard. While they are relatively safe to use with mattresses, as long as you have the right adult around, their possibility of catching fire is relatively higher. With a twin over full bunk bed with slide however, you are much safer, especially if the kids beds are used with other mattresses. This is because the mattress on top of the cabin bed with slide is usually much higher than most kids' beds.

However, you should still be cautious around very young children, or very old children who are still very much capable. In general though, it is best to avoid placing any kids beds with slides where there is any possibility of them catching fire. If you do decide to put your triple bunk beds in an attic, you should make sure that the kid's bed with slide is fitted with a flue. Otherwise, a serious problem could happen.

Space Issues: When a bed with slide is placed in a loft, there is limited space available for both the bed and the slide. In many cases, the loft will need to be turned into a storage area for items underneath the bed with slide. This can be a great space saver, but it also poses some problems with getting the kid's bed with slide in the attic. The kid's bed with slide cannot be pushed into the attic, and the slide is permanently attached there. It means that it cannot just be placed on the ground and carted up the stairs. This means that the attic needs to be free of clutter, so it is best to keep it as clean as possible.

Ladders: Since most kids beds with slides are on the bottom bunk, it means that there is limited space for a ladder. Most of the time, you can move the bed with slide up into a corner of the attic, but you may not be able to get it all the way up to the top of the ladder. Therefore, you need to find other solutions, such as buying a foot stool to reach the top bunk.

Many standard cottages and RVs have been designed with amenities for children's cabin beds. There are bedside tables for reading and a desk that will fit under the bed with slide. Some of these cottages come with a built in small desk that is used as an extra desk during weekend nights or extra work after hours. They generally have an extra pull down princess bunk beds in case of emergencies.
