You may know a few types of avocados, but there are hundreds of varieties grown around the world, 56 of them in Florida alone. Avocados are classified into Type A and Type B varieties due to their pollination and flowering behavior. Choose a healthy avocado in terms of diet from avocados of similar varieties.

The lamb-hating avocado resembles the Hass variety in many ways, including its dark purple skin and bumpy appearance. In order to promote optimal fruit development, it is best to plant avocado trees of type A or type B close together.
Type A hate reed is known to produce better when working with a tree of the other type, but some types of avocado trees will not produce under these circumstances.
This type of avocado tree produces avocados that are dark green and have a thick, bumpy skin. Also called brogden or brogdon, these avocado-shaped fruits can weigh up to a pound. Fuerte avocados are medium-sized pear-shaped varieties with a leathery green skin that is easy to peel.

Stewart avocado is a Mexican variety similar to Mexicola avocado and has a vibrant greenish-yellow flesh with a pear-shaped appearance.
Pinkerton Avocados are shaped like long pears and have small seeds compared to many other avocado trees that bear lot of fruit. They have the shape of an avocado, which is green when ripe. Brogdon avocados have an oval or pear-shaped shape with thin purple skin and buttery yellow flesh.
Named after a good and genuine bacon avocado of Californian origin with a uniform oval shape and green skin. Medium to large bacon avocados are available in autumn and spring and have a more delicate taste than other varieties.
