Hon'ble Chief Minister vide point no. 244 of Budget Speech for the financial year 2021 has announced new Rajasthan Government Health Scheme (RGHS). The ambitious plan of State medical facilities necessitates the infusion of all medical schemes under one roof and thereby restructuring it as Rajasthan Government Health Scheme.

Those families who are registered in Chiranjeevi Yojana will not be able to be registered in RGHS.RGHS has been implemented on the lines of the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) to cover all officers, employees and government service pensioners including MLAs, ex-MLA, All India Service and Judicial Service officers under one health scheme.
There was a misconception about RGHS that it is a variant of Chiranjeevi Yojana, due to which registration in RGHS is also slow.Families who have registered under Chiranjeevi Yojana are not getting registered in RGHS due to using the same Janadhar card.
Such families will have to get the family name removed from Chiranjeevi Yojana to take benefit of RGHS.
The problem related to the registration of pensioners will also be resolved soon.
