Tokyo Olympics 2021 India Medal List

Here we are going to discuss the list of winners who won the medal for India in Tokyo Olympic 2021. In this Olympics, a lot of players around the world took part and won medals for their country. Tokyo Olympics started on July 23rd, 2021 after a year-long which was canceled due to the covid-19 pandemic in the previous year. This 2021 Tokyo Olympics was held in a newly built national stadium located in Japan. This Tokyo Olympics closing ceremony was held on 8th August 2021.

The recent hot topic on Sports magazine in India is that Indian athletes have totally won 7 medals for India.

Medals in Tokyo Olympics :

Gold Medal : 1 

• Neeraj Chopra A young passionate man who belongs to Chandra village in Haryana won a gold medal for throwing a javelin at a distance of 87.58 on the 2nd attempt in the finals. Only sports followers would have know the name of Neeraj Chopra, but his performance in the 2021 Olympics India changed his history. After winning the javelin throw he became the first athletic gold medalist in India in this Tokyo Olympics.

 Silver Medals: 2

• Mirabai Chanu, an  Indian Women athletes from Manipur won Silver Medal in Weight Lifting (Women’s 49kg)
• Ravi Kum Dahiya  from  Haryana. Belongs to the field of wrestling and won a silver medal in men’s 57 kg wrestling.

Bronze Medals : 4 

• Indian Hockey Team has won the  Bronze Medal in the Hockey tournament.
• PV Sindhu from Hyderabad belongs to an Indian professional badminton player who won Bronze Medal in women’s singles badminton.
• Lovlina Borgohain from Assam belongs to the field of an Indian women boxer who won a bronze medal in women’s welterweight boxing.
• Bajrang Punia from Haryana belongs to the field of Indian wrestling who won a bronze medal in men’s freestyle 65kg wrestling. This is where India was highly satisfied by getting 7  medals for India.
