Turkish coffee pots are a staple in the culture of many countries. They're traditionally made of copper, but there are also stainless steel and aluminum varieties. The pot sits on top of a burner or heating plate that is connected to an electrical outlet. The water boils and drips slowly through the coffee grounds into the pot below until it reaches just below boiling point at which time it's removed from heat so as not to over-extract the oils from the ground beans.
