DRIVING THE DINGLE PENINSULA

The best part of the Dingle Peninsula drive is by far the Slea Head Loop. We started very early in the morning and finished driving the entire peninsula by about 1 pm, so it took us roughly 6 hours to complete all of the stops and driving. You probably are used to seeing lots of sheep if you’ve spent more than a day in Ireland at this point too, but be prepared for lots of animals along your drive on the peninsula – including sheep & cows. Be advised:  some of the local animals are not fenced in and can clog up the roadway – we got stuck behind two different herds of animals on this drive.
