Healthcare Professionals Competency Testing (HPCT) is a certifying agency that offers national certifications to allied healthcare professionals including Surgical Technicians, Clinical Medical Assistants, Medical Administrative Assistants, EKG technicians, Patient care tech national test, Pharmacy Technicians, Phlebotomy Technicians, and Sterile Processors.
Their duties include obtaining vital signs and other data of patients (as directed by the nursing or medical staff).
Participating in healthcare team meetings and communicating with patients, assisting with activities of daily living (ADL), adhering to confidentiality requirements, and performing phlebotomy and ECG tasks.
