3D Printer Calibration Model

Use this free 3D printer calibration model to fine tune your UV resin exposure settings, to ensure you are getting the most detail our of your 3D prints. It is a very easy and fast validation model that doesn’t use a lot of resin to complete.

3D Printer Calibration Model Instructions

Import the STL file to your slicer of choice. (For us that’s Lychee Slicer)

Confirm you have set your default printer and resin settings in your slicer of choice, watch this video for instructions on setting up Lychee Slicer.

Navigate to export, and confirm that no anti-aliasing is configured. (Note you should not print this with supports, and the model should be directly on the printer plate)

Export the model to CTB slices and transfer to a USB ready to print.

Once the print is complete, clean the model in Monocure3D ResinAway Cleaner, and inspect the details on the print.

You want to confirm that the staggered steps on the model are perfectly touching, without overlap or a gap in between.

If you find that there is a gap between the steps, you are under exposing each layer, conversely if you find that the steps are merged together, you are over-exposing each layer.

You need to adjust your print settings accordingly and reprint until you have a perfect print as shown above.
