How To Replace Toner On Brother Printer?

Does your printer tell you to change the toner after you've replaced it with an entirely new printer? This brief set of directions will reset the counter for your toner so that you are able to get back to printing once more. These reset instructions work for the following printing models: Brother DCP -L2550DW Brother HL-2390dw MFC-L2710dw

Make sure that your printer is running

Replace Toner On Brother Printer


1. The front cover can be opened on the printer (to expose the mechanism of the cartridge) then "Front Door Open" will blink on the display.

2. Then press STOP/EXIT, then CLEAR at the same time (one easy press)

3. After that, Press CLEAR again.

4. A menu entitled RESET MENU will pop up.

5. Click to the left to find the toner type you want to use.

TNR-STD: Use this selection for toners with normal yield, tn-730.

TNR-HC – use this selection for toners with high yield, tn-760.

6. Once you've selected which type of toner you want you want to use, press OK.

7. Use to the UP Arrow to confirm the reset

8. The Display should state "Accepted"

9. Close the cover on the front.

Printing on your printer is set to print!
