FIND OUT MORE ABOUT SPIDERMAN

Young student Peter Parker lives with his elderly uncles, studies in college, is in love with the beautiful Mary Jane, has a hobby of photography and is very shy with girls. Peter Parker, in practice, is a very ordinary American teenager. Not for long though. An accident radically changes his life. The bite of a genetically modified spider gives him exceptional powers. Peter becomes very strong, his myopia disappears, he can foresee the danger, he has the agility of a spider and like a spider he produces a very resistant web. Peter immediately tries to exploit his new status, but soon, due to the tragic death of his uncle and the constant threats to his private life, the shy student takes on the secret identity of Spider-Man. a superhero who finds himself fighting evil above all to download his conscience. His nemesis is represented by Goblin, that is the armament magnate Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe), scientist and founder of Oscorp, who carries out on himself an experiment for the superforce still in the experimental phase in order to be able to respect the terms established with the army and not lose the contract to a rival company. The outcome of the test is dramatic: Osborn nearly dies and must be revived by his colleague Mendel Stromm.

As soon as he regains consciousness in a fit of madness he kills him. He remembers nothing of the events: two distinct personalities begin to coexist in him. His darker and more evil side often takes over and, using the technology of the super suit and the Oscorp glider, combined with his super strength and endurance, with his face covered by a helmet with features similar to those of a Goblin, he destroys the base of the opposing company by killing the leaders as well as the general of the army who did not trust him. Stocks in the company skyrocket and Osborn, who does not remember his misdeeds, is very pleased.

But when his board members decide to sell Oscorp against his will, Osborn again indulges in his evil side and, during a party rally, kills them all by dropping a bomb on the balcony where they were gathered. On this occasion he collides for the first time with Spider Man, that is Peter Parker, best friend of his son Harry. The latter has never given much consideration, actually preferring Peter, smarter and more capable. Newspapers label Osborn's criminal identity as the Green Goblin.

Norman finally realizes that he and the Goblin are the same person and devises a plan to form an alliance with Spider-Man and then control New York. Obviously the superhero refuses on two occasions but in the last fight he is wounded in the arm. Norman then finds the same wound on Peter Parker's arm while they are having lunch together. Upset, he goes away and, having lost the affection he felt towards him, he decides to attack Parker by hitting his loved ones to make them pay.

He first sends Peter's old aunt May into shock by breaking through a wall in her house and threatening her, and then kidnaps Mary Jane Watson, the girl Peter is in love with. Meanwhile, he also reconnects with his son Harry, who after a long time feels he really has a father.

After taking Mary Jane to the Brooklyn Bridge, he engages in a deadly battle with Spider-Man, which ends in an abandoned house on a nearby islet. Peter is about to defeat Goblin when he reveals to him that he is Norman Osborn, a figure to which the boy is still very attached. Osborn begs for mercy and justifies his crimes by blaming the Goblin's influence, but in the meantime he recalls his glider with the intention of stabbing Peter from behind. However, he escapes just in time and it is Osborn himself who is killed. Spider-Man brings Osborn's body back to his home but is surprised by Harry, who is convinced that he killed him and vows revenge. that after a long time he feels he really has a father.
