Guava Juice Recipe

The guava fruit is a rich source of vitamin C and fiber. According to Wikipedia, one guava fruit contains four times more vitamin C than an orange.

Many people like guava/ apricot. However, if guava seeds get stuck in the teeth, they can cause severe irritation. This is one of the reasons why people prefer to drink guava juice rather than eat the guava directly.

To make top guavas juice, you can use either pure guava or pink guava. But remember that it must be ripe and the flesh must be tender.

Also, the guava should not be too chopped, otherwise, the seeds will be crushed in the blending process and the juice will become sandy. For a lighter taste, you can also add lemon juice.

Once the guava juice is ready, it should be served immediately. You can also add ice to the juice. The recipe can be doubled or tripled.

How to prepare guava juice

1. Wash the guava well with water. Then cut it into small pieces and put them in a large blender. If your blender is small, blend them in one go.

2. Add 1 cup of chilled water and whisk until the guava has a smooth pulp. Finely chop the guava so that it is quickly ground and the seeds are not powdered.

3. Do not grind too finely, as this will also grind the seeds and the juice will become fine and sandy.

4. Pour the pulp into a juice strainer placed over a bowl. It can also be strained through a muslin cloth to remove any seed particles.

5. Stir the pulp with a spoon so that it is smooth in the bowl.

6. Collect the pulp without the seeds.

7. Now add 1 cup of cold water. Stir the mixture. The more water you add, the more liquid the guava juice will be. You can also add lemon juice to give it a tangy taste.

8. Add 3 tablespoons of sugar. The amount of sugar should be adapted to your taste and to the sweetness of the guava.

9. Stir again until the sugar is dissolved.

10. Pour the juice into a glass and serve the guava juice immediately.
