Painting Cats Can Be Easy

I have been doubting for the longest time about how easily to draw a cat or to do a cat painting easy. Yet, the passion to be able to do one such painting of these beautiful cat creatures remains strong.

Well finally I did one. There are so many breeds that I can paint cats. Picking out one to draw is my first obstacle. I am so grateful for Jazz, a stray cat that I save from the street. He is so cute and really accommodating of my putting him on a spot for hours (of course over many many days). He is a darling when it comes to keeping pose for minutes with that cute look :)

Jazz has a beautiful coat of white fur with stripes and spots of brown and black. Drawing a realistic copy of his face is easier that thought after watching the expert tips on drawing cat easy. Lastly, they will hold a pose longer than dogs, allowing me to more easily paint them from life.

As for the watercolor pencils set, I used the Amazrock brand. Creating watercolor effects while maintaining sharp drawing lines makes all the difference. This is because it works dual function like a regular colored pencils and can be used together with a brush to make amazing water soluble effects. With this special soft core edition, I manage to deliver quite stunning and brilliant colors for this cat painting.
