Sydney: Top Things To Keep Your Kids Entertained 2022

On the southeastern coast of Australia lies the iconic city of Sydney. This capital of New South Wales is famed for being  one of the most iconic cities in the world housing some big names like the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Luna Park. It is of no doubt that the city has plenty to offer its visitors from across the world, but this fantastic city is also a great place for kids with an array of attractions which will keep them entertained throughout all day long. And if you're out at night looking for outdoor or indoor activities, follow this guide for a few tips.

You might already know about the harbour being one of the tourist hotspots in the country with an endless number of attractions for people of all ages. For a fun family night out with the kids, sign up for the Sydney Harbour cruise dinner which is an excellent substitute for regular dining experiences. Sit back and relax as you cruise past some of the biggest landmarks of Australia and enjoy a lip-smacking dinner while you're at it. The harbour is home to many great vessels but the one that stands out is the family-friendly catamaran with three expansive outer decks. It has fully air-conditioned, climate-controlled interiors and with an amiable crew you will be guaranteed a soothing experience. With the tempting onboard bar, you can watch the incredible night views of the city skyline from the three outer decks while sipping a drink or two. Thus, a Sydney Harbour dinner cruise on this Australian-built catamaran is all you need for a fun family night out so book your seats now!

Water-based activities are famous in a city like Sydney and if you're visiting Australia for the very first time, you may be overwhelmed by the multitudes of such activities. The Harbour Bridge is a famous attraction in Sydney and the bridge climb is one of the top activities that people go for  here– the views from the summit are unbeatable. At the same time, one of the most overlooked activities here is kayaking under the bridge. The famous Kayak and Coffee tour lets you enjoy a unique perspective of the magnificent harbour and as you enjoy the serene beauty of the skyline, sip on a fresh hot coffee of your choice. You can stably paddle through the silky smooth waters and go around Luna Park and then into position as the sunlight hits the Opera House, a perfect shot for that Instagram post.

Sydney has a pleasant climate year round making it easy to access its many natural wonders. Make the most of Sydney’s blessings by getting out and visiting some of them. Start off at the beaches, which are plenty in the city, from normal swimming beaches, to secluded and hidden beaches with no or less crowds. For a bit more challenge you can attempt the monstrous Coogee to Bondi walk which is along the vast coastline and partly through the Royal Botanic Garden, a great opportunity to enjoy the harbour views as well.

Kids love zoos and aquariums and Sydney has some of the best in the whole of Australia. A trip to one of the zoos is always a full-day activity because once the kids step foot inside one it is nearly impossible to get them back home, well most of them. Taronga Zoo is one of the biggest attractions in the city with numerous interactive experiences where kids can get up close with many friendly critters and maybe even feed them. There are also exciting live shows including  the sea lion show which is held regularly. You can also hop on the free guided tours which will have you learn more about the wildlife and the importance of their preservation. There are also other zoos and national parks inside and outside the city which also offer equally exciting experiences.
