ELIGIBILITY FOR INDIAN STUDENTS
The eligibility requirements are different according to the state boards. To become CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUTANT candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria according to their respective state boards of accountancy. In US there are 55 states which are members of the national association of state boards of accountancy (NASBA). It is a necessary for an Indian aspirant to hold a bachelor’s degree along with masters/CA/CS degree to complete the credit points according to the NASBA. The total requirements of the credit points are 120 to be eligible for giving the exam and 150 credit points to hold a license.
THE CPA EXAM Procedure
Examination procedure and pattern is the same for CPA as it is a uniform exam. For each paper, an examination fee has to be paid every time. After the application of the candidate has been accepted, the competent authority sends a notice to the candidate.
