Microsoft Windows 11 Key Features

Windows 11 is one of the most anticipated operating systems of the year. If you are still deciding whether or not to upgrade, it is helpful to know some of the new features that are coming with it. This article will cover some of the most significant changes in the latest version of the OS. These features include Auto HDR and DirectStorage. You should also be aware of what's new in Snap Groups and Snap Layouts.

Snap Groups

One of the best features of Windows 11 is the ability to organize multiple apps into groups called Snaps. You can move them into different groups and then resize them to fit their screen sizes. For example, you can group four apps into one group, each receiving the same amount of screen space and appearing in the taskbar when you hover your mouse over them. Microsoft is currently testing three different ways to manage snap groups. These include using keyboard shortcuts and the Snap layouts menu found in the Taskbar.

Snap Layouts

Whether you like the clean look of the snap design menu or prefer a cluttered desktop, Windows 11 offers many new features to personalize your desktop. It has six new Snap layouts that are ideal for various multitasking scenarios. Trying out different layouts will give you an idea of what each one can do for you. To switch between Snap layouts, simply press Windows+Left Arrow or Windows+Right Arrow on your keyboard.

Auto HDR

If you're wondering how to enable Auto HDR in Microsoft Windows 11, here are some of the steps to follow. First, make sure that you have a compatible monitor. In addition, make sure you have a DisplayPort 1.4 port or higher. If you have a HDMI port, choose one of those, and use premium cables. After that, simply press Windows Key + S to access the Settings window. In the Settings window, go to Display and click the HDR settings. This is the same process for Windows 10.

DirectStorage

One of the new features of Microsoft Windows 11 is DirectStorage. This technology enables games to have vastly expanded worlds and loads faster. To use DirectStorage, your PC should have a 1TB NVMe SSD and a DirectX 12 GPU with Shader Model 6.0. Microsoft is currently working on DirectStorage for other Windows 11 features, including Quick Resume.

Focus Sessions

If you are looking for an app to help you concentrate, you can try Focus Sessions. Focus sessions can be as short as fifteen minutes and as long as 240 minutes, with or without breaks. Spotify integration means you can play your favorite tracks while you focus. Once you've started the session, the timer starts and a small notification appears on the desktop. When the timer expires, you can take a break and resume the session later.

Mini-tiles

The new update to Windows has a number of new features. Live Tiles were introduced with Windows 8 and have since been incorporated into the Start menu. The new widgets feed serves as a replacement for Live Tiles. The new version of Windows also doesn't support pinned apps or sites. Cortana, the voice assistant, will also not be present during the Windows 11 setup. These are only some of the new features in Windows 11.

Start menu

Microsoft's new operating system, Windows 11, is set to release later this year and will include a new Start menu and the Microsoft Store, which will feature Android apps. To find out more about the changes, we sat down with CEO Satya Nadella to discuss Windows 11, the Pandemic, and the company's strategy to compete with Google. We also got an interesting story about how the company's CEO accidentally transcribed his name!
