Filtering Ground Water

Most of the people like you and me have grown up thinking that the ground water must be clean and ready to use and safe of even drinking. But is it really so? Well, in my experience and knowledge regarding how hygienic it is to consume totally depends on the source of groundwater we are looking at. Although most of the time ground water is clean, but at times when the soil has issue it may not filter the water as we think, it may be contaminated causing reverse affects after consumption. Therefore, special groundwater filters are used.

Why groundwater is safe to drink?

Most of the ground water is said to be drinkable, as I previously wrote it totally depends on the source of water. For example if the water is rain water and the soil absorbs and proper natural filtration occurs while it is passing from soil to sand and then rocks etc. and once there is enough water accumulated and no space for absorption the water starts surfacing in locations where it can come out to surface apart from the place where the soil started absorbing.

Which groundwater is safe or drinkable?

While most of us want to say that the groundwater is safe to drink neglecting the fact that it is exposed to so much of chemical and other pollutants these days, which we do not have control over. Ground water pollution is all times high as either because of the exposed industrial waste generated by humans, such as gasoline, oils, salts and other chemicals which once released on ground will be definitely absorbed by the soil. These are hard to clean by the natural process and extremely hard to even clean using water purifiers, traces of pollutants would be present in one way or the other.

This topic has become a debatable issue and by far it has reached a level where people have concluded that ground water is completely not drinkable these days.
