How Do We Do Mountain Cedar Drops At Advanced Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology Center?

We despise you, mountain cedar. Your unique bark peels and sheds like an unwanted snake. Your frail evergreen branches outnumber practically every other tree in our slopes, backyards, and limestone regions. You're like a pest that won't leave. When your pollen clouds are discharged, people's noses run. Mountain Cedar, you are a sly danger who appears each November / December, like an unwelcome guest who is difficult to control.

It is true that developing an allergy to mountain cedar takes around two years. As a result, you may not detect it in your infants until they are two years old. That is also why, after two years or so in the San Antonio region, so many transplants complain of a strange cold, virus, or what we locals call "cedar fever." A mountain cedar allergy might also strike you, as it did me, who had grown up allergy-free before moving away, only to return to a sudden fight with it.

Nearly half of all patients who come into my clinic for allergy testing are allergic to mountain cedar. It is becoming increasingly frequent. Mountain cedar was found in 41% of our new patients at Advanced Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology Center in 2014. So far in 2014, that figure stands at 42 percent.

Testing

Raised lumps are frequently the outcome of a positive mountain cedar test. A result may prompt me to re-test or perform a blood test for confirmation. However, most of the time, a favorable result like this one will be returned after a brief 20-minute wait period.

Management

So, how can we effectively handle the mountain cedar threat? Simple, by using mountain cedar drops:

1. To begin, commence. But let's be honest. It's difficult to avoid stepping outside during peak hours during allergy season, which usually lasts from Thanksgiving through Valentine's Day! You may wash your linens often in hot water, keep your windows closed, shower at night, and bathe your dogs more frequently. All of this can be beneficial. Over-the-counter drugs such as antihistamines, sinus rinses, and eye drops are additional options. When clients come to me, they generally have done everything else and are still unhappy.

1. At that point, we escalate Texas cedar fever allergy drops treatment to the next level, combining prescription allergy medication with saline nasal rinses and the previously described oral antihistimine. Qnasl and Dymista are two medications I frequently use to treat mountain cedar and believe work effectively. 2. If you're still not receiving much relief, we boost the ante and tackle the mountain cedar with allergy injections or sublingual drops. For the best pcn testing outcomes, both treatments need you to allow your body time to build up a resistance before the mountain cedar peaks.

Finally, the key to mountain cedar drops  management is to be proactive. Proper testing by a Board Certified Allergist is the first step. Once you've established your mountain cedar allergy, it's all about enabling your body to develop a tolerance to it before the season peaks. What does this have to do with you? In August and September, start thinking about mountain cedar. Start taking your medication. Start your injections or drops (drops starting in Oct.). Begin with the end in mind, and you will be able to resist this scourge known as mountain cedar, since you don't have to be unhappy!
