The four Atlantic provinces' labour market needs will be filled via the employer-driven Atlantic Immigration Program. Designation is the initial phase for an employer thinking about joining the Program.

You must first finish the Employer Designation Application Form before you can submit an application for a candidate's endorsement under the Atlantic Immigration Program. You must first fulfil this Designation before you are eligible to start the programme. Your future software usage will be supported as long as your initial Designation is still valid.

With the help of the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), eligible foreign workers and graduates from accredited post-secondary institutions in Atlantic Canada can obtain permanent residency in New Brunswick.


The program helps New Brunswick-based businesses fill positions that they have been unable to fill locally with qualified candidates. Prior to the Province "endorsing" an employer's employment, the employer must first become "designated" in the industries listed below. If you are "designated," you may also employ persons through the Atlantic Immigration Program. The Province is in charge of employer designation.
