A lot of women are choosing to undergo the treatment of breast augmentation. Those opting for this procedure should keep in mind that the surgery process is just a part of this treatment. Once this particular operation is done, then this takes a few weeks when great care is to be taken to ensure that the patient receives optimal recovery & appropriate effect. This is termed a breast augmentation recovery period.
Breast augmentation treatment is completely safe, but post-operative care must be proper for the best results. During the first week after the breast augmentation operation, you will need to ensure that you do not disturb those stitches & dressings that are done on the area of the breast. During this period, you would also require wearing a support bra that shouldn’t be removed. Once seven days are over, the stitches and the dressing will be removed, and the recovery starts on its own. In the second week, you can return to your job in case it is of the non-strenuous category. Even in the second week, you should not expect to feel your breasts to be in a normal condition. You should ideally continue to wear the support bra for several weeks unless you get completely used to your new body.
Also, during the breast augmentation recovery phase, you may not feel your enlarged breast be firm. Also, the breasts will be tender to the touch. This particular tender sensation may continue for weeks together. However, at the end of a few weeks, your new enlarged breasts will settle & adapt well to your body.
