Why attar is considered best for occasions

Introduction

The word ‘attar’ is derived from the word `itr,` which means fragrance. It means that it's the best scent suitable for occasions, festivals, and special events. Though attar is a scented liquid, it is not the same as perfume. Attars are made by traditional methods without adding alcohol. This is why both the fragrance and concentration of Oudh attars is higher than perfumes

Attar is a mysterious perfume which has been used as a scent for age. It means that it's the best scent suitable for occasions, festivals and special events.

Attars are made by traditional methods without adding alcohol or other chemicals to them, unlike perfumes which are made using some of these ingredients. It's believed that attars can give you health benefits if you use them regularly during pregnancy because they contain natural essential oils like rose oil or sandalwood oil which help in reducing stress levels and improving sleep quality among others!

Though attar is a scented liquid, it is not same as perfume. Attars are made by traditional methods without adding alcohol. This is why both the fragrance and concentration of attars are higher than perfumes.

Attar refers to an essential oil or perfumer's base used in making scented items such as incense sticks and perfumes. In India and other South Asian countries where attars are made, these items are called garlands of flowers or herbs.

Attars are traditionally made without adding alcohol. This is why both the fragrance and concentration of attars have increased over time due to their traditional methods of production which do not involve adding any chemical substances like those found in modern day perfumes.

Types Of Attars-

There are as many types of attars as there are flowers on earth.

Some of the most famous attars are-

  • Chamak Attar
  • Mitti Attar
  • Mogra Attra
  • Nirvana Attar
  • Basant Attar and
  • Ruh Gulab Attar

It is derived from flowers, fruits and leaves.

There are many types of attars depending on their ingredients such as rose water (tea), sandalwood oil or jasmine flower water etc., but all these types have one thing in common: they contain essential oils which give them their characteristic scent when applied on skin or clothes after cooking them with other ingredients like sugar syrup or ghee (clarified butter).

Traditional Indian attars have been used for centuries by different cultures, right from antiquity to the present day. The making of these exotic fragrances requires a lot of time and patience as it takes several months to get the perfect blend of crushed flowers and sandalwood oil.

Process of Itra Making-

The process can be divided into three stages:

  • First, you need to collect your flowers in order to make attar (or any other type of floral fragrance).
  • Then you must crush them into tiny pieces so that they release their essential oils.
  • Finally, you have to distill this essence through boiling or steaming process before adding essential oils and essences such as rosewater or jasmine absolute which give us our final fragrance.

Equipment for Extracting Ittar-

The production of attars for floral is usually performed in remote areas as flowers are required to be processed at the earliest after they are plucked away from plants.

The apparatus used for producing various types of attar oils are light and efficient. Listed below are the details of equipment that are traditionally used for attar making:

  • Traditional Deg or Still

For centuries, degs have played a pivotal role in producing organic essential oils using traditional ways. Degs are made of copper and have openings for connections to one or two receivers.

  • Bhapka or Receiver

The Receiver is built of copper and has a round shape with a long neck. The receiver is required to be connected with Deg via Chonga when making an attar. It is popularly known as Bhapka in the local language and it acts as a condenser as well.

  • Traditional Bhatti or Furnace:

Traditional Furnace or Bhatti used by attar craftsman is built up of bricks and clay. Typically, wood is used for heating.

  • Gachchi or Cooling Water Tank:

A cooling water tank is the place where Bhapka, or the Receiver, is kept and its purpose is to cool.

Why attar is considered best for occasions?

  • Provides a soothing fragrance

The fragrance is soothing and relaxing. It brings calmness to the mind, body and soul. Aromatherapy therapists often use attar as a base for their massage oils because of its calming properties.

Attar is a naturally derived product, meaning that it's made from flowers, herbs and sandalwood. This gives attar its distinct smell that people associate with religious ceremonies.

Attar is produced in India by traditional methods which are still used today by many families around the world as part of their daily life.

Do not cause any side effects

If you are allergic to any of the ingredients in attar, do not use it. The best way to prevent an allergic reaction is by not using any type of perfume at all.

Precautions-

If you have never used flower perfumes before, there are some things that you should know about them: they contain many chemicals which may irritate your skin and cause a rash or other symptoms if they touch your skin directly; these chemicals also can cause headaches or nausea if inhaled too deeply; finally, because most flower perfumes contain alcohols (such as is found in vodka), drinking alcohol while wearing these types of scents could lead to unpleasant side effects such as dizziness and vomiting

Long-lasting results

Attar is a natural product that is made from flowers. It does not contain any alcohol and therefore has no aftertaste or smell.

It has been used in India since ancient times, when people were unaware of perfumes and colognes. The use of attar was limited to only the royalty until the late 1800's when it became popular among middle class women too.

Cost effective

Attar is considered to be cost effective. It’s cheaper than many other fragrances and also cheaper than perfumes. The reason for this is that attars are made from plants, whereas most fragrances come from synthetic ingredients.

Natural Ittars are made by traditional methods without adding alcohol and have a long shelf life. The ingredients used in making the best oud perfume include rose water, cedar oil, sandalwood, and Wood Iris.

These natural ingredients give out their fragrance after some time and help you to get delighted with the scent of your perfume or cologne.

Conclusion

In short, the natural attars are considered the best attar in India & for occasions. They offer a soothing fragrance, are naturally derived, and do not cause side effects. Long-lasting results and cost-effectiveness are the best reasons for routine use.
