Reebok Nano X2 Adventure Review|Good Training Shoes for Exercises Outside?

The company’s signature cross-training shoe is now appropriate for outdoor use.

In a world where swooshes and stripes predominate, Reebok’s Nano cross-training sneaker, first introduced in 2011, has achieved enormous popularity and a very devoted fanbase despite having neither.

InsideHook has long been a fan of the Reebok Nano, and we especially adored the most recent Nano X. We were won over by its svelte appearance, low profile, and unexpected suppleness, but what we adore most about it is its versatility. You can lift a lot of weight without worrying about getting a barbell stuck in your shoe. You can achieve a six-pack using pilates. You can combat rope, shadowbox, or wind dash. The comfort-responsiveness-durability Venn diagram is centered on the Nano line.

With the newest addition to the cross-trainer family tree, the Reebok Nano X2 AdventureReebok is now attempting to refine its calculations once more.

Design and Materials:

By tackling a new area—the great outdoors—the Nano X2 Adventure aims to take use of the Nano line’s remarkable adaptability. The heritage sportswear brand hopes to expand the list of appropriate use-cases for the shoe by incorporating new features designed for elemental wear and tear, such as a tough, lugged outsole and an entirely new nylon-blend upper. These activities include hiking, trail running, and other outdoor-inspired ones.

Testing:

I tried to recreate a realistic Nano experience in order to completely test Reebok’s newest trainer; in other words, I did a little bit of everything. For me, that meant mixing the X2 into the many forms of exercise, including jogging and other athletic hobbies. I’ve biked, parked the dog, jumped rope, run, stretched, carried an AC down two flights of stairs in Nano X2 Adventure over the course of two weeks — with overwhelmingly favorable outcomes. The new nylon-blend upper of the trainer has held up flawlessly, and the support, particularly when dynamic movement is involved, is out of this world. For my training, the new lugged sole was largely insignificant; it was helpful on loose gravel, but it didn’t interfere with any of my exercises.

I had to learn the hard way that the X2 Adventure is not a running shoe, much like the Nano versions before it. Although the shoes have Reebok’s renowned Floatride Energy Foam in their midsole, they are not designed to be worn for long distances. The Nano X2 Adventure lacks the cushioning and bounce necessary for serious mileage, as evidenced by the foot full of blisters. I should also add that even while the shoe worked perfectly on grass, gravel, and mud, I have my doubts about how well it would feel under truly harsh circumstances. These are not waterproof boots or hiking boots.

What We Like:

`Versatility:Like its predecessors, the Nano X2 Adventure is as multi-functional as they come: the flexible design of the shoe allows for HIIT-style movement, the plush Floatride Energy Foam is comfortable for uneven trail treks, and the reinforced upper is resilient enough to withstand the paces of a strenuous workout.

Reinforced Upper:Speaking of the upper, the X2 Adventure uses innovative Ripstop Nylon. If our testing is any indicator, it will be able to withstand a hammering, and even better, the material surprisingly lacked the stiffness and clamminess that are typical of nylon.

Lugged Outsole:The robust, plastic-braced outsole and treaded ribs ensure that muddy trails and loose gravel won’t stop you from working out.

Fit:Even though I have large feet all the time, the Nano 2X Adventure fit me perfectly and featured a wider toe box.

What We Don’t:

Weight:The X2 Adventure’s general weight is our main gripe; the strong base and lug sole sensibly add a few ounces to the shoe. The Nano X2 will definitely seem a little heavy to those used to the featherweight of marathoning super shoes and barefoot-like runners.

Breathability:Although it wasn’t a big concern, a reinforced nylon upper’s decreased breathability makes it a poor choice for intensive dog days training, especially with the present hot wave. Those who are put off by large tongues should take caution because the X2’s is very thick.

Rigidity: If you’re considering purchasing a pair of Nano X2s, you should be aware of what you’re getting into. Although the shoe is generally flexible, the baseplate is incredibly hard. Undoubtedly ideal for challenging outdoor exercises on slick trails and unknown terrain, but not the most comfortable setting for a day of casual strolling.

Should You Buy It?

The Nano line of inventive, multipurpose sneakers from Reebok continues to show that it can compete with brands like Nike and Adidas, and the X2 Adventure is no different. For the average person looking for a versatile training shoe at an affordable price, especially for those drawn to the great outdoors, the most recent cross-trainer is an incredibly wise investment. This is the ideal exercise shoe improvement at just the perfect time, with fall just around the corner.
