I still remember the rangoli competition held in my school. With my mom’s secret techniques, I got the first position in the competition. She loves to do smart work in creativity. So why not incorporate her strategies into our contemporary art?
Today, we will discuss the mom’s secret techniques to make both easy and fancy rangoli art. This blog will surely win your heart and make you create a simple and elegant rangoli for Diwali.
Speedy ideas for Diwali rangoli cutouts:
Materials you’ll need:
- Stainless steel flat plate: 1 large size
- Disposable box round lid- 1 small size, 1 medium size
- Rangoli Colors: White, green, yellow, purple, pink, and blue
Making the beautiful art of rangoli art:
1) Mark the Size of the rangoli
Place the stainless steel thali in the centre where you are planning to create the rangoli. Start putting the white rangoli powder on the edges of the stainless steel plate smoothly. Using your finger, make a proper round around the plate. Lift the plate carefully and you will get a proper round design that will be perfect for your rangoli art.
2) Shape the Rangoli
Now, slide a lid of about medium size into the ring just a little. A half-circle design in the shape of a mirror image C stands out on the circle. Do this only on one side.
Take the purple color and start pinching it in the inner area of the white circle. You can use a finger pinch to release the powder and then hold it close to the white line. The purple powder should be shaped like a pyramid.
Start smudging the color inwards within the circle using the matchstick. Inside the surface, you'll find a design that resembles brushstrokes. Repeat this process throughout the inner design. Now, fill the inside with purple powder, being careful not to cover the brushstrokes.
3) Add more colors in it
Sprinkle the yellow powder on the apex of the inner half circle, directly opposite the dotted line. Don't let it get too far away from the purple powder. Using your thump, press the yellow powder. Next, sprinkle some pink powder around the yellow powder on the inner face. Keep them moving in a semicircle. Start digging with your first finger to uncover the powder. Add a pinch of white rangoli powder in it.
4) Let us move towards the mirror C-shape semi-circle design of the circle.
Place the small disposable box with the round lid in it. Start by adding the yellow color to the outer edges of the lid. Move the fingers between the powder and the lid to get the perfect shape. Remove the lid carefully. Make the inner outline with green powder. Now fill the entire space with green powder. Add the pinch of yellow at the centre-edge of the green diameter. Using a matchstick, start making inward strokes of the design.
5) Enrich the outer space of rangoli design.
Now, place the bottle cap and place it between the outer layers of the two white circles.
Pinch the yellow powder around it. Remove the bottle cap and begin making inward strokes with the back side of the crochet needle.
Your ranogoli is ready to greet your guests during the festive season.
