Best Manufacturers of Plastic Granules

Plastic granules are tiny pieces of plastic. One has to put thermoplastic polymer into small pieces in order to manufacture plastic granules. Manufacturers of raw plastic materials use Plastic dana, (another name for plastic granules) for the plastic processing industry. One uses them for manufacturing plastic products in a number of industries like stationery, textiles, packaging, etc.

There are seven types of plastic, namely: High-Density Polyethylene, Low-Density Polyethylene, Polyethylene Terephthalate, Polypropylene, Polystyrene or Styrofoam, Polyvinyl Chloride, and Miscellaneous plastics.

The most commonly used plastics are High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE).

HDPE Granules

One manufactures HDPE Granules from High-density polyethylene. They are rigid and durable. It is available in translucent to opaque variants and exhibits outstanding chemical resistance. Manufacturers mostly make kitchen equipment, plastic furniture, plumbing pipes, packaging containers, toys, etc. from HDPE.

LDPE Granules

One manufactures LDPE Granules from Low-density polyethylene. They are either clear or translucent. It is chemically resistant, and flexible, and can also be used for waterproofing abilities. Manufacturers produce a varied collection of products, including flexible packaging material, grocery bags, injection moulded parts, plastic wraps, films, etc. using LDPE.

Similarities Between HDPE and LDPE

One can see that polyethylene makes up both HDPE and LDPE. Their similarities include weather resistance, low material weight, high impact strength, recyclability, and the ability to be manufactured and fabricated at a low cost, etc.

Differences Between HDPE and LDPE

The internal composition of both LDPE and HDPE is different. This makes them differ from each other as well. The difference in polymer organization leads to distinct characteristics in each material. Additionally, branched polymers make up LDPE and crystallized polymers make up HDPE. HDPE is harder, offers greater chemical resistance, is less flexible, and is less transparent than LDPE. LDPE is accordingly a little difficult to recycle as compared to HDPE as it is softer.

Manufacturers use plastic dana for production purposes for their businesses and consider a few factors before purchasing plastic dana. Plastic dana’s purity level and their quality in general, their colour and the range in which they are offered should be checked. This can help you buy the best product for yourself.
