Chevrolet has updated its heavy-duty lineup of trucks for the 2024 model year and it will once again be one of the most capable options on the market. While we review the Silverado 2500HD separately, we are covering the 3500HD exclusively here. As before, this large pickup will compete against the Ford F-350 which is also arriving in an updated form. For the new Silverado 3500HD, expect a fresher design, a much-improved interior for upper trim levels, and even higher outputs from the legendary Duramax diesel engine. This is one pickup that makes light work of the most demanding jobs.
When Is The Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Coming Out?
The release date for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado HD has been scheduled for the first half of 2023. This is when production of the updated pickup will begin at General Motors' Flint Assembly in Michigan and Oshawa Assembly in Canada.
Chevy's latest pickup will be coming out at around the same time as the new Ford F-350 Super Duty.
2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Price And Competition?
We don't know the official price for the 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD just yet as this information will only be shared closer to the launch. The 2023 model starts at $41,700 MSRP and goes up to over $80,000, so the 2024 model will likely come in at slightly more than this.
Of Chevy's rivals, the main one in the USA will be the Ford F-350. We don't know how much the new, 2023 model will cost, but the 2022 F-350 Super Duty has a similar base price of $40,960. More expensive than both - at least, based on currently available pricing - is the 2022 Ram 3500, which starts at $46,025.
