Why choose organic skincare products?

Skincare is part of lifestyle, just like any other other form of selfcare. So many of us spend a lot of time and effort in doing our skincare but are we actually doing it right?

Today's non-organic beauty products commonly contain a startling number of dangerous chemicals. An ordinary lotion can contain quite a toxic mixture, including formaldehyde, petroleum waxes, and parabens.

The growing public awareness of the harmful effects that conventional, chemical-filled products have on human health and the environment is a direct cause of the organic trend's increased popularity.

Our skin deserves care with organic skincare products, just as we choose to nourish our bodies with organic food. Here is why, our skin, which is the largest organ in our body, will largely absorb whatever is applied to it. Every day, the average person uses 10 different beauty products to lather on their skin. Exposure to a variety of unnecessary chemicals that eventually find their way into our bloodstream while doing so unknowingly. Skin care products that are not organic typically contain synthetic, man-made chemicals like sodium laurel, mineral oils, and toxins that could be pesticide residues. Additionally, studies have revealed that they may contain parabens, mineral oil, petroleum, and other chemicals that, when used repeatedly, can lead to cancer, hormone disruption, skin irritation, and organ toxicity.

The list goes on

Numerous chemical components that are used as inexpensive fillers actually cause more harm than good, they may have short-term benefits, but they also have negative long-term effects. Their chemical components may give the skin immediate visible results, such as reducing blemishes and smoothing out wrinkles. But over time, as the body tries to adapt to the constant exposure to these foreign, harmful substances, these chemicals weaken and damage their skin. This causes clogged pores, skin irritation, increased sensitivity, and premature ageing. By using ingredients that are compatible with the body, and may better balance and heal the skin when one chooses organic skin care.

Additionally, by choosing organic, you are helping the environment. Sustainable farming and production methods are used to grow and produce the organic ingredients used in organic skin care products. Since these products don't contain any harsh chemicals, much less waste and toxins are dumped into the sewer system and the earth.

Non-organic products also frequently contain synthetic fragrances, which can initially smell good but have unknown ingredients. A synthetic fragrance's ingredients are never specified, and it could contain any number of chemicals in combination.

Moreover, if it can't be eaten, don't put it on your skin, is the general rule for natural skincare. Therefore, any organic skin care product's label will read like a shopping list if you take the time to read it. For instance, coconut oil and cocoa butter are both excellent moisturisers that give the skin the essential fatty acids it needs to look younger. Excellent antioxidants are found in white tea, grapes, and pomegranate seeds; they prevent the breakdown of collagen, keeping the skin supple and elastic.

Organic natural ingredients that promote smooth and soft skin include shea butter, aloe vera, honey, coconut oil, and honey. Even though the effects on the skin might not be visible right away, one can rest assured that natural and organic skin care products are kind to the skin and won't harm it or the health over time.
