RIP BUSHING'S ADVANTAGES- Yash Highvoltage

The phrase "resin impregnated paper" (RIP) refers to dry bushings whose primary insulation is a crepe paper core that has been impregnated with a curable resin. A composite insulator with silicone sheds or a porcelain insulator serve as the outer insulation. For AC and DC transformers and reactors, AC and DC wall applications, and AC switchgear and breakers, Yash Highvoltage has the broadest and most comprehensive selection of RIP bushings on the market. Numerous national and international product standards are met by our bushings.

It is applied to dry bushings whose primary insulation is a crepe paper core that has been treated with a curable resin. A composite insulator with silicone sheds serves as the exterior insulation.

An insulating envelope (sometimes referred to as a "Silicone Composite insulator") can be attached to a resin-impregnated paper bushing, in which case the empty area can be filled with an insulating liquid or another insulating material like polyurethane foam, gel, etc.

RIP BUSHING'S ADVANTAGES

  • Fire danger has greatly decreased. Additionally, because the bushing may be mounted at any angle, monitoring of pressure and oil levels as well as bushing oil leakage are also removed.

  • Non-brittle materials: Using non-brittle materials in a design improves equipment and human safety. Compared to oil-impregnated bushings with porcelain insulators, the bushing is far more resistant to punch and impact. Additionally, the withstand earthquake is improved.

  • Lightweight and small - RIP bushings are easier to transport and handle during transformer installation and maintenance because they weigh less and are more compact than comparable oil-impregnated bushings. They also take up less room inside the transformer.
