How to use Document Camera with Google Meet?

A document camera, also known as a visualizer, is a type of camera that is designed to capture images of documents, objects, or other materials and display them on a screen or projector in real-time. Document cameras are commonly used in classrooms, meeting rooms, and other educational settings to display worksheets, books, and other materials for the entire group to see. They are also used in offices and other settings for presentations, demonstrations, and other purposes where a large audience needs to see the details of an object or document. Document cameras typically have a high resolution camera, adjustable arms and lights, and the ability to zoom in and out on the object being displayed. Some document cameras can also record videos or capture still images for later use.

To use a document camera with Google Meet, you will need to follow these steps:

  1. Connect your document camera to your computer using a USB cable or a video capture device.
  2. Open Google Meet in your web browser and start a new meeting or join an existing one.
  3. Click on the "Present now" button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. Select "A window" from the options.
  5. Choose the window that displays the output from your document camera.
  6. Click "Share" to start presenting.
  7. Adjust the camera and the document as needed to make sure it is visible to all participants.
  8. You can also use the "pin" feature in Google Meet to keep the camera feed in focus for all participants.
  9. To stop presenting, click "Stop presenting" at the top of the screen.

Note: Some document cameras may require additional software or drivers to be installed on your computer before they can be used with Google Meet. Please refer to the manufacturer's instructions for more information.
