Today we’re excited to announce, in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the first ever outer space photo booth. The Intergalactic will be launched into space on April 17th aboard the next Antares launch to bring supplies to the International Space Station, where The Intergalactic will be housed for up to 20 years.

Incoming CEO David Miller announced the news on Monday, April 1st, as his first major act as the new head of the company. “We have two land-based photo booths,” said Miller, speaking of the INFINITE and Venture, “as well as an underwater booth, so outer space just made sense as the next logical progression. Plus the name Intergalactic was almost what we called the Venture, and that got us thinking, why not put one in space?”

With 2019 being the year of space tourism, The Intergalactic represents a critical step in equipping future travelers with the means necessary to remember their journey. Complete with Zero-gravity Oscillation Regulators (ZORs), retina trackers for floating subjects, and a state-of-the-art laser jet printer, the Intergalactic will be fully equipped to give users both digital and printed memorabilia from their time above atmo. “The first time we tested printing in zero gravity, well…let’s just say we were faced with some new problems,” said Director of Products Matt Dumont, “there was ink floating around everywhere.”
