Rebar Couplers are used to join end-to-end of TMT Bar to create a continuous Rebar length without losing its strength. Rebar Coupler is made up of EN8D Material which gives Tensile strength of 650 mpa. In Construction, TMT bar is used to joined using a Coupler sleeve that transfers the force on the rebar. Rebar couplers are used in reinforced concrete structures to replace normal rebar lap joints. The couplers are also suitable for use in reinforced concrete columns and walls. Each rebar coupler consists of a piece of rebar equipped with a thread and coupler sleeve at the right end as viewed in the direction of installation. In construction joints, rebar couplers can be used to replace all pieces of rebar going through the formwork. i. Tensile Test:- Every coupler made with EN8D Material gives a Tensile Test of 650 mpa. As per IS Code 1785 it's compulsory to pass in Tensile stress.
ii. Chemical Test:- In every coupler chemical test include carbon test Carbon compound contain 0.4% - 0.45%.
iii. Fatigue Test:- Fatigue testing is define as the process of progressive localized permanent structural change occurring in a material subjected to conditions that produce fluctuating stresses & strains at some point.
iv. Slip Test:- In slip test at the time of testing a coupler with Rebar the Threading of a Rebar & a Coupler didn’t Slip that Thread.
A Rebar Threading Machine is basically used for creating external threads on the job and the “chasing method” is used to execute this task to threading the bolts. Bolt Threading Tangential Chasers are used as cutters For Threading. Bolt Threading Machines are designed to give maximum efficiency and better performance under the most serve conditions of service with minimum maintenance cost.
