Ciclesonide had a slightly different impurity profile, with one additional impurity: 21-chloro-17alpha-hydroxy-9alpha-fluoro-11beta-hydroxypregn-4-ene-3,20-dione. Fluticasone propionate had a more complex impurity profile, with several impurities, including two related to degradation products of the drug.


Mometasone furoate had the most complex impurity profile among the corticosteroids evaluated in the study, with several impurities identified, including degradation products, starting material impurities, and solvent impurities.


Overall, the study showed that beclomethasone had a relatively simple impurity profile compared to other corticosteroids, which may be an advantage in terms of purity and stability. However, it is important to note that impurity profiles can vary depending on the manufacturing process and formulation of each drug.


In conclusion, comparing the impurity profiles of corticosteroids can provide important information on the quality and safety of these medications.
