• Architecture:
The Lotus Temple is composed of 27 free-standing marble-clad "petals" arranged in clusters of three to form nine sides, with nine doors opening onto a central hall with a height of over 34 meters and a capacity of 2,500 people. The petals are arranged in three concentric rings: the outer ring forms the canopies over the entrances, the middle ring covers the outer hall, and the inner ring encloses the main prayer hall. The top of the structure is capped with a glass-and-steel skylight that admits natural light into the hall.
• Timings:
The Lotus Temple is open from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm in summer (April to September) and from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm in winter (October to March). It is closed on Mondays. The entry is free for all visitors, but photography is not allowed inside the temple. There are also information centers, bookshops, and audio-visual rooms on the premises
