Washing away last year's slump and winning the season opener, 20 wins at age 27. 7th youngest person in history to be inducted into Hall of Fame, 1 point remaining “There is no right answer in golf… “I will keep trying”. Challenge for gold medal at Paris Olympics in July

Lydia Ko, a Korean New Zealander, is smiling while holding the trophy after reaching the top of the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, the season opening tournament of the LPGA Tour, on the 22nd. With today's win, Lydia Go achieved her 20th LPGA Tour win.

Lydia Ko (27), a Korean New Zealander, reached the top of the season opening competition of the LPGA Tour and won her 20th tour title. She is also one point shy of being inducted into the LPGA Hall of Fame.

Lydia Go won the trophy with a final total of 14 under par 274 in the fourth round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions, which ended on the 22nd at Lake Nona Golf and Country Club (par 72) in Orlando, Florida. He beat 2nd place Alexa Pano (USA) by 2 strokes and took home the prize money of 225,000 dollars (about 300 million won). Lydia Go tied for the lead by reducing 5 strokes without a bogey in the second round, and rose to sole first place by reducing 4 strokes more in the third round. At one point in the 4th round, he was up to 5 strokes ahead of the 2nd place group and comfortably took the top spot. Among Korean players, last season's LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year Yoo Hae-ran recorded a final total of 4 under par, 284 strokes, tying for 12th place. Only 35 tour winners within the past two years participated in this tournament.

Lydia Ko, who tasted victory a year and two months after the CME Group Tour Championship in November 2022, was named the 15th player in history to achieve 20 wins on the LPGA Tour. She achieved her 20th win at the age of 26 years, 8 months, and 28 days, making her the 7th youngest ever. The youngest record in this category is Nancy Lopez (USA), aged 23 years, 7 months, and 26 days, set at the Rail Charity Golf Classic in September 1980.

Lydia Ko came one point closer to the LPGA Hall of Fame induction standard score (27 points). With this win, the number of points increased by 1 to 26. Winning the general tournament on tour, lowest number of strokes of the season (Bear Trophy), Player of the Year award, and Olympic gold medal receive 1 point. If you win a major tournament, you accumulate 2 points. Lydia Go said, “I stood in front of the Hall of Fame door. “We got really close,” he said.

Lydia Ko earned her first tour win at the 2012 Canadian Women's Open during her amateur days. She won her first championship at the age of 15 years, 4 months and 2 days at the time, earning her the nickname 'Genius Girl'. She still holds the record as the youngest winner on tour. Since her LPGA Tour debut in 2014, Lydia Ko has reached the top of the world rankings three times and held the top spot for a total of 125 weeks.

Lydia Go has had her best year yet in 2022. In addition to her three wins of the season, she swept the Player of the Year Award, the Bear Trophy, and the Money King. But she suffered a severe slump last year. She has competed in 20 tour events and she has never won. She only had two top 10 finishes and she missed the cut four times. Her stroke average was pushed to 61st, and her money ranking was pushed to 90th.

Lydia Go worked hard for resurrection. He prepared for this season by working with swing coach Lee Si-woo, who coaches LPGA Tour Jin-young Ko and Kim Joo-hyung of the American Professional Golf (PGA) Tour, at the end of last year. Even when I was away from this coach, we exchanged video calls and checked his swing. Lydia Go said, “If 2022 was an amazing year for me, 2023 was a year with a big question mark. Golf is a strange game where you can miss the cut eight times and still win the next week. There is no right answer to the game of golf. “I’ll just keep trying,” he said.

Lydia Go will challenge for the women's golf gold medal at the Paris Olympics in July. At the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro, she won a silver medal, and at the 2021 Games in Tokyo, she won a bronze medal. He expressed confidence, saying, “In a perfect fairytale, I will win a gold medal and have three collections (gold, silver, and bronze medals).”  카지노사이트존
