Ramadan, the holiest month for Muslims, is a time of intense spiritual connection and personal transformation. During this time, we strive to deepen our relationship with Allah (SWT) and purify our souls. We reflect on our lives and try to make positive changes, seeking forgiveness and mercy from the Almighty. It is a time of introspection, where we assess our actions and intentions and strive to become better human beings. Checkout the best restaurants in Islamabad.

Fasting during Ramadan is not just about abstaining from food and drink. It teaches us the value of patience, empathy, and generosity. When we feel the pangs of hunger and thirst, we are reminded of the suffering of those less fortunate. This reminder encourages us to perform good deeds, give to charity, and share our blessings with others.

The holy month of Ramadan is a time of spiritual reflection and fasting for Muslims worldwide. In the end, Ramadan is a time of immense spiritual growth when we reconnect with our faith and ourselves. It is a time when we unite as a community, breaking our fasts, praying, strengthening our bonds, and spreading love and kindness.

In Pakistan, one of how this is done is through establishing Ramzan Sasta Bazaars.

What Exactly is a Ramzan Sasta Bazaar?

It is a market that sells products at discounted prices during Ramadan. The term “Sasta” means cheap or affordable, and the market is known for offering affordable products to people of all income levels. The market typically offers various products, including clothing, accessories, home decor, and traditional Ramadan foods.

Ramzan Sasta Bazars in Twin Cities

In the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad, the local administrations have approved the establishment of these bazaars to ensure the availability of essential commodities at discounted rates throughout Ramzan. Stalls in these bazaars will be allotted free of cost to control inflation, and the agriculture department will be given Agricultural Fair Price Counters to ensure the availability of pulses, tomatoes, potatoes, and onions at discounted prices. These bazaars are expected to be operational by March 22 and will be converted into Eid Bazaars from the 20th day of Ramzan, with a closing date of April 29. To ensure the security of visitors, entry gates will be installed at every entry point of these designated places under canopies. Female police personnel will be deployed in every market, and close-circuit cameras will also be installed. The bazaars will be operational from 8 am to before Iftar, which is the time of the day when Muslims break their fast.

The Rawalpindi commissioner has given the go-ahead for the set up of 32 relatively cheap markets, where customers can purchase pulses, vegetables, grams, dates, and rice at 20 to 30 percent cheaper than the open market.

In Rawalpindi, a total of 16 bazaars have been approved, out of which 11 would be set up in Rawalpindi city and cantonment areas, including Committee Chowk, Haidari Chowk, Allama Iqbal Park’s parking area, Dhok Hasu, Khayaban-e-Sir Syed, Gulzar-e-Quaid, Adiala Road, Chakri Road, Morgaham, Chauhar Chowk, and Chungi no 22. Additionally, one Ramzan Sasta Bazaar will be established in each tehsil of the district.

Tips for shopping from Sasat Bazar

When shopping at the Sasta Bazaar, it is important to come prepared with a list of what you need to buy and how much you’re willing to spend. It is easy to get caught up in the excitement of the marketplace and overspend, so having a plan in place can help you stay on track.

Significance of Ramzan Sasta Bazar

These markets offer a unique opportunity for entrepreneurs to reach out to a large audience and increase their customer base. This is particularly beneficial for local artisans and craftsmen who otherwise have limited exposure to the market.

Moreover, Ramzan Sasta Bazaars are not just about shopping; they are also a great way to experience the local culture and traditions. These markets are filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of the holy month of Ramzan. From the delicious aroma of traditional Iftar items to the festive ambiance of Eid preparations, Ramzan Sasta Bazaars offer a glimpse into the vibrant and diverse Muslim culture. In a nutshell, Ramzan Sasta Bazaars are a unique feature of the holy month of Ramzan in Pakistan. They provide much-needed relief to people by offering affordable essential commodities while promoting small businesses and local artisans.
