Bimatoprost Eyelash Serum

The main ingredient in this product is bimatoprost, which was originally developed as eye drops to treat glaucoma. However, it was found that it had an unexpected side effect of promoting the growth of longer, thicker and darker eyelashes. This discovery led to Allergan, the company that makes Botox, creating a cosmetic version of this medication called Latisse, which is available in the UK as Lumigan, under a prescription and only from a qualified healthcare professional.

Latisse has since been clinically proven to make lashes up to 25% longer and 18% darker after regular use. The results can be seen within eight weeks but will require continued daily usage to keep them at their best. Unlike other non-medicinal products that are available on the high street, the Latisse and Lumigan branded product contains the original 0.03% bimatoprost solution, and has been tested and approved by the MHRA for safety and efficacy.

Some people may be allergic to bimatoprost, and in some cases this can cause a serious reaction, which can lead to swollen, raised, itchy or blistered skin around the eyes. If you have any of these symptoms stop using this product and speak to a doctor immediately. There are also some medicines that can increase the pressure inside the eye if used with this medicine, so tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any of these.

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this medicine and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in. This product should be applied to the lower waterline of the eyelid, at least once a day.bimatoprost eyelash serum uk
