- Press down firmly along all tape edges to activate the adhesive and create a strong, seamless seal against creeping paint bleed-under.
- Use a single piece of tape when possible instead of multiple short pieces to avoid weak seams where edges meet.
- Allow new paint or finish ample time to fully dry, typically 24-48 hours, before attempting tape removal to avoid accidental pulling of freshly-applied material.
- Remove tape in the opposite direction of application, pulling at a 180° angle to minimize risk of surface damage from adhesive residues.
