LabExpo Flame Chamber is a state-of-the-art testing instrument designed to facilitate flame resistance testing in both horizontal and vertical orientations. It is specifically engineered to comply with the UL94 standard, allowing for precise and reliable measurement of a material’s burning rate (except radiant panel testing). This advanced chamber operates within an ambient temperature range of 10°C to 35°C, making it suitable for various laboratory environments.
The chamber features a spacious draft-free interior with corrosion-resistant coating and a volume of more than 1m³, ensuring a controlled environment for accurate testing. It measures 1500 x 826 x 1150 mm and incorporates a low-noise extraction system with fans producing only 62.5 dB, minimizing noise disruption while maintaining effective airflow. An integrated back-to-draft damper enhances the efficiency of the extraction system.
Large tempered glass panels allow for easy observation of the tests, while the chamber’s ergonomic design includes adjustable burner positioning at angles of 0°, 20°, and 45° as per ASTM D5025 standards. The wingtip burner and precise sample positioning ports ensure flexible and efficient testing setup.
Access to the interior is made simple through a counterbalanced sliding door, offering complete entry for sample preparation and instrument calibration. Inside, an integral control panel houses multiple controls, including three digital timers, a pressure manometer, an extractor switch, a gas flow meter, and a gas solenoid control switch with indicator lamps. The control panel provides full operational control at your fingertips.
The interior lighting ensures clear visibility, even in dim conditions, while the bench-mounted design offers flexibility, with an optional support frame for added convenience. The versatile LabExpo Flame Chamber is compatible with a wide range of ASTM test methods, making it an ideal choice for labs performing comprehensive material flammability testing.
