To celebrate the film Formula 1®, created in partnership with Apple Original Films, IWC is adding three new chronographs to its Pilot’s Watch collection. The colours and details of the three watches are inspired by the team colours and cars of the fictional 11th Formula 1™ team “APXGP” in the film. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 (Ref. The watch features a Ceratanium® titanium case and strap, a black ceramic bezel with a tachymeter scale, and a black hammered dial.The large golden digital discs at three and nine o'clock display the month and date of the perpetual calendar, inspired by IWC's classic Pallweber pocket watch. The watch is equipped with IWC's self-made 89802 movement, which consists of 474 parts and drives the chronograph function at the same time, providing a 68-hour power reserve. The tinted sapphire glass case back clearly shows the complex beauty of the movement, and the bridge and rotor are blackened.
The Large Pilot's Shock Absorber Tourbillon Skeleton XPL watch uses the patented SPRIN-g PROTECT® shock absorption protection system for the first time to provide shock absorption protection for the tourbillon. The cantilever spring of the system has been completely redesigned to adapt to the IWC self-made 82915 movement equipped with a flying minute tourbillon.
