The long-awaited moment has finally arrived! Packing your bags was a bit stressful, but now you've arrived at your destination. Luckily, since you've already pre-booked your rental car, all that's left to do is pick it up and enjoy your vacation! But this is also when you can sometimes overlook important things. With the following tips, you'll know exactly what to expect when picking up your rental car. You'll know what to expect and be able to get to your destination even faster!


What do I need to pick up the rental car?


The three main things you need to collect your reserved rental car are:


The voucher

Your driver's license

A credit card in the main driver's name (unless you have chosen the No Deposit service or a cash deposit is possible).

Are you at our partner's rental office? Hand over the documents mentioned above and carefully check the rental agreement before signing it. If you booked your rental car through Rafay Cars, one thing is clear: you don't need to purchase additional insurance. We've already taken care of everything. You can therefore decline any extras offered to you.


What happens if I pick up the rental car other then opening hours?


This is not a problem at all. When booking online, you indicate the time you wish to collect the vehicle. We will then show you which offices are open at that time. Sometimes an office is closed but an employee is waiting for you. There are sometimes fees associated with this service. If during the booking process you don't see a fee for collecting the vehicle outside of opening hours, there are none! However, check the voucher carefully because if you indicate an arrival time during opening hours and arrive after closing time, you will of course be charged. That's why we always mention the opening hours of your car's partner agency on the voucher.


Has your rental car been damaged? Don't worry


Oh dear, the rental car has suffered damage! That's the normal thing that can happen during your vacation. But it can happen. An accident or breakdown can happen quickly. The rental vehicle can also be damaged through no fault of your own. But there's no need to worry because a rental car from RafayCars is mainly insured.


What to do if the rental car gets damaged or crashed?


In case of damage or breakdown, please, don’t panic and inform our local car rental Lahore partner and explain the situation. They will then explain how to proceed. The contact details of the local vehicle fleet partner are included in the local rental agreement. Sometimes, the number is also indicated on the key fob.
