A long time ago, my family had a small business. It wasn’t fancy, but it helped us live a good life. My mom and dad worked every single day to make it better.
Then, after many years, they said, “We want to sell the business now. We want to rest and try something new.”
We thought, “Okay, let’s find someone who wants it!” But it was not that simple.
Selling Was So Hard
When people heard we were selling, they thought, “Oh no, maybe the business is not doing well!” They were scared to buy it.
Some people came to talk, but they weren’t honest. Others didn’t really care. We didn’t know who to trust.
We felt stuck. And sad. And confused.
One day I thought, “What if there was a place where people could buy and sell businesses easily? What if it was safe, like how people meet friends online?”
That small idea became something big.
A New Beginning
In 2014, my husband Bhavin and I made a website. We called it IndiaBizForSale.
It helped business owners list their business online. But we kept their name private, so only real buyers could contact them.
Buyers could search by city, price, or type of business. It was simple and smart.
Later, we made another site called IBGrid for big business deals. Experts helped those buyers and sellers too.
What Happened Next
Guess what? Thousands of people started using our website!

That means many dreams came true!
One of my favorite stories is about a woman who owned a bakery in Chennai. She had to move and wanted to sell her shop. She was worried no one would pay the right price.
But a young man who loved baking bought it. He took good care of the shop. She was so happy to pass her dream to someone new.
That story still makes me smile.
