North Brookline Apartments

Some of the residential structures reflect the craftsmanship of the late 19th and early 20th century. Brick, brownstone, and limestone were common building materials. It was not unusual to see ornate bay windows and slate roofs. North Brookline apartments might include the following.

• Courtyard Buildings are constructed around a central, landscaped courtyard or garden that is away from the street. The building layout is often in an L-shape or U-shape which provides more natural light and air circulation. Architecturally, a Tudor influence is present in the older buildings.

• Modern Mid-Rises are more recent developments that utilize current building materials such as steel and glass. Mid-rise apartment buildings are usually 5 to 12 stories high and contain many of the amenities common to luxury residences. Common amenities could include, but are not limited to, pools, fitness centers, lounges, rooftop terraces, business centers, and pet spas.
