Michael Wainstein, 44, filed for divorce from Jules Wainstein on July 15. Days later, he was seen holding hands in New York City with Elyse Bensusan, 36, who has been noted for her resemblance to Jules.
Both Michael and Jules have accused each other of physical assault, and police were called to their home last month. It remains unclear when the alleged relationship between Michael and Elyse began, though a friend of Jules claimed the two had been in contact as early as January.
According to a source, Elyse Bensusan and Michael first met when the RHONY couple visited a club owned by Elyse’s husband, Tsion Bensusan. Tsion, 39, owns several Manhattan venues, including The Blue Note, BB King's Blues Club & Grill, and The Highline Room.
Elyse and Tsion were married in a ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria New York in September 2010, though they were reportedly separated at the time she met Michael. When Elyse was seen with him, she was still wearing her wedding ring.
