But the experience isn’t always perfect.

Sometimes you plug in a second monitor and it doesn’t work at all, or it keeps minimizing your game when you mouse into it accidentally.

That may be all it needs to recognize the video feed and start displaying it correctly.

Check the cables are plugged in correctly: It might sound obvious, but a loose cable can cause no signal errors more often than any other problem.

Change data cable: If you’re using an older cable standard like VGA or DVI-D, you might want to try a newer alternative like HDMI or DisplayPort.

Change graphics port: If you’re using a dedicated graphics card with multiple output ports, try swapping which one you use.

PC gaming hobbyists tend to put a significant amount of money into getting the most from their rigs, and that has led to a spike in the number of gaming keyboards, USB microphones, webcams, and other peripheral products.

That has also led to innovation in these spaces, and I think that Echogear could spark something similar for PC monitor mounts.

It features a sturdy, clamp-style design that can support up to three displays between 10 inches and 24 inches in size.

And of course, the mount has saved some of my desk space, which might make it worth $150 alone.

Easy to assemble and to secure

As a three-monitor mount, the Echogear is necessarily large and heavy when it arrives.

We’ve got your back: Here’s how to set up multiple monitors for the best gaming experience!

Step 1: Check all your monitors

We’re not going to list any required monitors for this multi-screen project, but we will point out the obvious: Try to choose newer monitors that are all the same model.

Lenovo’s new ThinkVision P44w monitor is designed for professionals who typically have multi-display work setups, eliminating the need for multiple monitors by offering a huge 43.4-inch display with a 32:10 aspect ratio.

The P44w is the equivalent of two 24-inch monitors, and it features dual integrated USB-C ports for two video inputs.

Multiple displays are often cited as a way to increase productivity, but there is a downside: bezels between the displays and the visual clutter that comes with multiple display stands on the desk surface.

That’s where single, larger monitors like the ThinkVision P44w comes in.

Lenovo’s new display has a 3840 x 1200 resolution and support for picture-by-picture from dual video sources.

The monitor is joined by smart desktop management software that allows the user to create different display regions and multiple monitor configurations, according to the company.

Mobvoi’s TicWatch Pro is going on sale today for $250, after being announced back in May.

The TicWatch Pro puts a new twist on Wear OS smartwatches by adding in a second, low-power screen that’s meant to keep the watch running longer.

To make this trick work, Mobvoi placed a transparent FSTN LCD display (picture a traditional digital watch) on top of the watch’s primary OLED screen.

The OLED screen is used to show the standard Wear OS interface.

But when you aren’t using the watch, the OLED screen turns off and you’re then able to see the LCD above it, which displays the time and other information you might want at a glance, like fitness data.

Mobvoi estimates that you’ll get two days of battery life using the watch this way.

Dell may become one of the first PC manufacturers to bring Microsoft’s vision of a dual-screen computer to life.

Like Microsoft’s long-rumored Courier concept, Dell’s dual-screen device makes use of two folding screens, and it has been reported that Dell has been working on this concept since at least last summer.

The endeavor is also known by its Januss code name.

It’s still too early to know specific details about Januss, but it appears that Dell may be borrowing ideas from the recent crop of Always Connected PCs.

Januss will make use of an ARM-based processor and, more specifically, WinFuture reported that the device will arrive in the second half of this year with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 850 chip and an LTE modem.

The use of an ARM processor from Qualcomm, rather than Intel’s x86 chips, should help the device in the battery life department, and an LTE modem will ensure that users will have access to the internet no matter where they go.

The desperate search for smartphone innovation continues as ZTE USA has another go at the dual-screen paradigm for old time’s sake.

Samsung has been banging on about foldable screens for years, but that’s not what this is.

Instead the ZTE Axon M features two distinct screens joined together via a hinge to resurrect the clamshell form factor so popular back in the pre-smartphone days.

It’s initially being offered exclusively by AT, which seems to think it will be a good video consumption device.

“The ZTE Axon M is the beginning of a significant movement of smartphone capabilities, and ZTE is leading the way,” said Lixin Cheng, CEO of ZTE Mobile Devices.

“The mobile technology ecosystem and consumer habits have evolved over the past several years, but the smartphone experience has only slightly varied throughout that time until today, with the introduction of the Axon M.”

In 2016, Lenovo tried something different with the Yoga Book.

A flexible two-in-one laptop, it set itself apart thanks to its keyboard -- or lack thereof.

Its keyboard was entirely digital, and using it was kind of like using a larger version of the iPad's onscreen keys.

At Intel's Computex 2018 press conference, we got a brief sneak peek at the second generation Yoga Book.

What do we know about it?

Not much, other than a prototype was flashed on stage and that the real thing will hit store shelves by the end of the year.

Although it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to buy Samsung’s long-rumored Galaxy X foldable phone this year, the company might make a few thousand prototypes, according to industry sources.

Speaking to The Investor, they claim that Samsung is working on a device with a screen that can be folded 180 degrees outwards, consisting of two separate OLED displays with a hinge in the middle - so rather than the glass itself being foldable this sounds more like a modern take on the flip phone.

That’s disappointing, but it sounds like this might just be the next step towards a truly foldable phone, with one of the anonymous sources saying “Samsung seems to be testing the waters with the dual-screen device to gather ideas about its upcoming foldable phone.”

Indeed, that lines up with previous rumors, as we’ve heard before that Samsung is working both on a dual-screen device that matches this description, and on a smartphone with a single flexible OLED screen, with the latter set to launch sometime after the dual-screen model.

According to this latest report, Samsung has already placed an order for enough components to make 2,000-3,000 units of its dual-screen phone in the first half of this year, which also lines up with previous rumors.

With so few units being made you probably won’t be able to buy it, but it would bring us one step closer to a fully foldable and commercially available Samsung Galaxy X.

From panoramas to portraits, if you want your desktop to look good, check out one of the eight sites below.

Hovering over an image will give its title, while a glance at the icons below will show you the file size and the rating of the image.

All of the dual-monitor backgrounds are professional, of excellent quality, and are generally diverse enough to appeal to pretty much everyone in the office.

The resolution and format choices are also remarkable.

There are two caveats to all of our praise, though.

There’s currently no real way to specify categories when you search, but as long as you don’t mind scrolling to find your perfect wallpaper, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

While we knew Microsoft had a secret product in its locker to show off at today’s Surface hardware event, we were very well surprised by the company’s unveiling of the new dual-screen phone aptly named Surface Duo.

Make no mistake, this is not a foldable and Microsoft doesn’t intend to compete with true foldables.

Instead, the Surface Duo celebrates the double screen and gives users a lot of utility and freedom with it.

The other great part about the Surface Duo is that it runs Android as it is made in collaboration with Google.

Coming to a bit of specification, the Surface Duo is a very pocketable device that has two 5.6-inch displays that can rotate 360 degrees.

There’s not really many specifics Microsoft shared about the device apart from showing that it runs a heavily skinned Android version and the use cases of the Microsoft Duo phone.

This year’s E3 conference is proving to be a veritable treasure trove of Microsoft news and leaks.

Although Microsoft initially killed off its Courier concept, the idea was more recently revived under the Andromeda codename.

“Andromeda was mentioned in this content that I was able to view,” Sams said.

“It says a release date of 2018, which is this year.”

Microsoft, however, won’t be the only one to embrace the dual-screen computing form factor — its hardware partners may also be planning their own devices, which could be timed around the same time as Microsoft’s big unveiling when that happens.

“So we’re looking at a pocketable device, also the documentation says that OEM partners are also going to release similar devices,” Sams added.

The HubblePhone looks absolutely bonkers, and we're intrigued.

A smartphone that appears to have more screens than you can shake a stick at, a bending, folding arm and multiple cameras.

However, Turing is the firm behind the HubblePhone, and if that rings a bell it's because the company has already tried a couple of times to launch a smartphone, but couldn't deliver on all orders and ultimately it ended up filing for bankruptcy earlier this year.

This came after previous phones were scrapped or refunds offered due to the spec sheet not being impressive enough and delays to manufacture / shipping - the company has yet to ship a phone on a widespread scale.

Some customers were left upset at the previous attempts, yet the firm has returned, and it's shared a concept video and a handful of renders of the device with Digital Trends and if you can look past the chequered history, it's fair to say it's got our attention.

Digital Trends reports that the handset has two screens, but taking a closer look at the teaser video we can see four flat sides to the device and every single one appears to be clad in a display.
