Research Assistant Job Description

The responsibilities of research assistant include participation in the design process, monitoring of clinical trials, administration, analyze and evaluate the clinical that is been gathered during the research process. Ensure compliance with complete protocol and overall clinical objectives.

The required degree is BS, RN, BSN or equivalent degree and 0-3 years of relevant experience. Must have knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements and commonly used concept and practices in the particular field. Rely on pre-established guidelines and instructions to effectively perform job tasks. Able to work under supervision. The jobs do not typically rely on exercising typical judgment. The jobs need to report to a manager or supervisor regularly.

Responsibilities

Conduct literature reviews

Collect and analyze data

Prepare materials to submit for granting agencies and foundations

Prepare interview questions

Recruit or interview subjects

Maintain a record for interviews, safeguard the confidentiality of subjects when needed

Summarize interviews

Provide access to all experimental data for the supervisor or faculty data

Request equipment and supply for the project

Respond to project related email

Prepare, maintain and regularly update the website material

Supervise the undergraduate students that are working on any research project and that means you need to maintain a record for assignment completion, act as a mediator/liaison.

Attend project meetings

Attend seminars and other meetings when necessary

Prepare articles, presentation, and reports

Prepare and maintain the progress reports

Monitor the project budget

Willing to travel to field sites to gather and record data or collect samples to the specific objectives of the study

Code and verify the data according to any specific research protocol and procedures

Assist in the development of interview schedules

Contact potential subjects to introduce and explain the study objectives

Arrange interviews wither in person or phone to phone

Identify potential research subjects according to study objectives and parameters

Conduct and record interviews with subjects with pre-determined protocol, procedures and documentation standards

Ensure completeness and accuracy of data by reviewing and editing regularly

Set up, correlate and maintain field research equipment

Guide the work of student employees or other junior employees

Perform miscellaneous job-related duties

Prepare findings for publication

Assist in laboratory analysis

Data management and quality control

Write and contribute to publications

Assist in the preparation process of all educational and training workshops

Engage other clinical and community partners in the research process

Market training

Develop various assessment and evaluation tools

Compile data for progress reports

Develop research protocols

Track progress from time to time

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent degree; a college degree is preferred

Completed degree(s) from a certified institution
