After the Riots in Wamena, Banking Activity Started Normal

Wamena - Banking activities in Wamena, since Monday (30/9) back to normal post-riots that hit the district last September.Nevertheless, most employees still evacuated due to trauma.

The head of the Bank Indonesia Papua Naek Tigor Silaban declared a banking office in Wamena began to operate normal.

"From reports received banking is already in operation and perform such services as the ordinary, whether it's in BPD Papua, BNI,BRI and Mandiri," said Silaban quoted by Antara, Wednesday (2/10).

Director of BPD Papua Zendarto say, from the reports received most of the banking activity conducted in the form of withdrawal of customer funds.

“A lot of customers who come only to withdraw savings or savings that are in BPD Papua in Wamena,” said Zendarto.
