Searching for Design ideas for your BathRoom/RestRoom? Try TFOD.

A bathroom is a room for personal hygiene, generally containing a bathtub or a shower, a toilet and a wash-basin. Often, homes may have a separate toilet; in which case the bathroom and toilet room become two distinct spaces.

A public toilet is commonly called a restroom. A restroom usually has more than two cubicles for toilets (or more in case of public spaces like airports and railway stations). Also in restrooms of large public spaces, shower cubicles may also be provided; which are not mandatory in buildings like malls and art galleries.

The design of a bathroom must account for the use of both hot and cold water, in significant quantities, for cleaning the human body and also for moving solid and liquid human waste to a sewer or septic tank.

Water may be splashed on the walls and floor, and hot humid air may cause condensation on cold surfaces. Therefore, the décor of a bathroom presents certain challenges. Ceiling, wall and floor materials and coverings should be impervious to water and readily and easily cleaned. The use of ceramic or glass, as well as smooth plastic materials, is common in bathrooms for their ease of cleaning. Such surfaces are often cold to the touch, however, and so in colder climates, water-resistant bath mats or even bathroom carpets may be used on the floor to make the room more comfortable.

Bathroom accessories include water closets, shower, bathtubs, faucets, mixers, washbasins, screens, shower systems/panels, clothes hangers, towel rods, curtains and soap cases. You can Visit TFOD for Excellent Design for your Kitchen.
