After thirty, a lot changes. At least on the face. Wrinkles, redness and irritation appear. Here are the five demands for healthy facial skin.
Men's facial skin is specific. It's even 20% thicker than a woman's, more hydrated and oily. What's more, because men shave on their face (and not, like women, on other parts of the body), it is additionally irritated (up to 16 thousand times). It's normal for many men to get irritation and redness.
In addition, the male skin starts to change over time. Decreasing testosterone levels make wrinkles appear. The process starts in her thirties. So what do you do to keep your skin healthy after all?
Washing your face: Get off with the soap!
Whoever thinks that men in the 21st century think facial care is natural, is wrong. Most just flush their face. There is not only special preparations, but even soap. The latter is better avoided anyway.
It is much better for the skin to replace it with something else. For example, because its pH is about 10, while the skin is barely 4.5. Additionally, soap dries the skin. So it is better to use facial cleansing gels and even a mild scrub instead. After washing, you need to apply moisturizing creams to your face.
What to use? The answer to this question is not easy. You need to adapt cosmetics to the needs of the skin. In the case of sensitive skin, hypoallergenic preparations should be used, and when the skin is normal - moisturizing. Whoever is tired of seborrheic skin (i.e. one on which pimples are formed) should choose exfoliating cosmetics, with salicylic acid or fruit acid, antibacterial and pore unblocking. A glowing face will require agents containing zinc and sulphur compounds.
Use and diet: put the pipes away!
Cosmetics alone are obviously not enough. Just as a car doesn't need to be washed and waxed every week, so the body needs a little more holistic approach. For skin quality, diet and stimulants are important.
So what do you eat? Fortunately, it's easier to cross out the most harmful products from the menu than to make a short list of what's allowed. So you should avoid spices, sweets and salt. But this is not the end of it.
It is better not to drink cocoa and reduce the amount of coffee you drink. Alcohol and roasted cigarettes also have a negative impact on the quality of skin. It would be ideal to give them up at all.
Watch out for the sun: not for a tan!
This is not the end of eliminating those habits that have been considered particularly masculine for years. Another is the love of many for a warm, tanned face. To keep your complexion healthy, it is better not to expose yourself to the sun too much.
And if necessary, use protective cosmetics. At the top of the list are naturally creams with filters, it is also worth thinking about those that will alleviate the influence of the sun later.
Why is the sun dangerous? First, it dries the skin. Secondly, in the long run, changes that cause sebum production to increase. And sebum favors acne (which no one in their thirties wants).
The beauty parlour: never alone!
However, when it appears, it should not be fought with the ways known since adolescence. First of all, no squeezing! Instead, you should go on a visit (which may seem very unmanly, but should you always succumb to stereotypes?) to the beauty parlour. Independent actions are a simple way to inflammation.
This does not mean that you cannot do anything at home. On the contrary, you should support the treatments, but only in a way that is consistent with the actions taken by professionals.
Stress and rest: less work, more sleep!
Finally, for many men it is even more difficult than giving up coffee, cigarettes and alcohol to reduce stress and shift the balance between work and leisure towards the latter.
Stress is the enemy of healthy skin (just like a healthy body in general). In order to keep the skin in good condition you have to fight it. Best through rest, relaxation, hobby. And also - a healthy sleep.
It is best to sleep between ten in the evening and four in the morning. Then the sleep is the healthiest. The metabolism is then minimal, the body is relieved. During this time the epidermis is rebuilt and muscles move slower (wrinkles!). In a word, there's nothing like getting a good night's sleep.
