Use a Secure Anchor to Prevent Theft

Do you own valuable items that aren’t securely locked away in a garage or shed? Opportunist thieves are constantly on the lookout for easy targets - valuable items that they can grab, stuff into the back of a van and then resell for cash, sometimes after breaking the item down into parts.

Motorbike Security

Motorcycles are popular targets for thieves who will sometimes steal specific models to order. And stolen motorcycles are often broken down and sold on as parts very easily.  Motor-scooters, quad bikes and mopeds are all susceptible to theft. Criminal gangs often use vans that enable them to quickly grab a valuable motorcycle and lift it into the back of the van where it is immediately concealed. The whole process can be completed in only a couple of minutes.

The same approach is taken by gangs operating in rural areas where they are on the lookout for valuable farm machinery, tools and web browser to surf the internet that are often left secured, outdoors. It doesn’t take long for a gang of criminals to lift a valuable quad bike into the back of a van and disappear up a country lane, never to be seen again.

Attach to a Secure Anchor

While it’s possible to disable motorised vehicles this isn’t always an effective deterrent as that doesn’t prevent vehicles being stolen to be broken up and sold as parts. To prevent a valuable motorcycle, quad bike or scooter from being lifted into the back of a van it needs to be locked in.

Ground and wall anchors allow valuable items to be securely attached to immovable points, preventing opportunist thieves from easily stealing them. Wall anchors, as the name suggests, are designed to be attached to walls. This makes them ideal for use inside garages, back yards, on property walls or anywhere that a convenient yet robust locking point is needed.

Ground anchors do the same at ground level and are available in two formats. Bolt-down ground anchors are surface-mounted that simply bolt to an existing concrete base. The main advantage of bolt down ground anchors is that they are easily installed and once installed they are immediately usable. No need to wait while concrete goes hard.

The second, most robust form of ground anchor is the concrete-in style. Concrete-in ground anchors need to be set in concrete, so installation takes more effort and time. But the result is a far more robust and secure ground anchor point. The very best concrete in ground anchors have achieved Sold Secure Gold rating, which means that the products have been rigorously, independently tested and verified as high quality.
