How does donating money to NGOs make a difference in the lives of underprivileged?

The simplest way to connect with people, the environment, causes, and other avenues that need humanistic attention is to donate. When you choose to donate, you’re not only helping a cause close to your heart and purpose, you also gain and grow from the experience!

When you donate money to NGO, giving feels as good as receiving, be it to charities that support people living in poverty, advocating to protect the environment, helping animals in need, or addressing other global or local issues.

One such cause that needs your attention is – the underprivileged children of India. With families being unable to provide for children and/or economies that are not able to provide enough for their poverty-ridden citizens, children are at the receiving end of several brutalities, thus restricting their growth and development.

This in turn will stunt the functioning of the economy in the imminent future. This is why the sadistic poverty cycle needs to be broken.

According to WHO, statistically, it is anticipated that approximately 1 billion children between the age of 2 to 17 years deal with physical, sexual, or emotional violence or neglect. The sheer number is solely a reason why you should choose to donate money to NGO that help children.

Violent behaviour against children can occur at different stages in a child’s lifecycle. Abuse, harassment, youth violence, domestic violence, sexual violence, and emotional or mental violence could leave damaging mental, emotional, and physical scars. Violence against children has a lasting impact on their health and well-being, families, communities, and the nation at large.

For the child alone, it could result in death, severe injuries, brain and nervous system damage resulting in negative coping and health risk behaviours lead to unintended pregnancies, contribute to a wide range of non-communicable diseases and impact future generations.

When you donate money to NGO like Save the Children, you are enabling an NGO that works to improve the lives of the most defenceless children, who are dedicatedly ensuring that underprivileged children experience a happy, safe and secure childhood. Funds and consistent form of financial support are required to run programmes, activities, and initiatives that operate through 19 states of our nation. These programmes ensure underprivileged children are given an equal opportunity in life. You could also donate towards this benevolent cause!

Donors are encouraged to donate a small sum monthly, which will allow Save the Children to allocate funds accordingly and keep up its altruistic works.
